LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It was a picture-perfect morning in Las Vegas as runners, younger and outdated, took on the Las Vegas Marathon, half marathon, and the “702” race – a 7.02-mile run paying tribute to the town’s space code.
1000’s laced up their sneakers for the 2nd annual occasion. This 12 months’s race befell within the northwest valley and featured runners from all 50 states.
“I just love visiting other cities like Las Vegas; I can’t go wrong with that. We came as a group, and I found myself having a great time here,” Mando Lopez stated.
“Las Vegas lowkey has a place in my heart. I did a relay race from LA to Vegas a year ago,” Andrew Kim stated.
Crowds of households and pals lined the streets with indicators of encouragement, cheering runners by means of the final stretch to the end line. “I feel really good. I broke my personal record by 4 minutes; that’s a great feeling,” Lopez stated. “And the weather was better than I thought it would be. The vibes were good; my friends were cheering me on on the side and during the race. Everyone here is just friendly.”
“I feel great. This is my fastest time, so I’m proud of myself,” Lily Park stated.
