Former UFC champion and winner of UFC 6, **Oleg Taktarov**, shared his thoughts on **Magomed Ankalaev’s** loss to **Alex Pereira** in the rematch at UFC 320. He pointed out that the Russian fighter entered the match with excessive determination, which led to tactical mistakes.

“Magomed Ankalaev was like Jesus, suffering for his young and inexperienced brothers. As soon as he stepped into the ring, it was clear that his mindset was overly intense, bordering on anxiety. There wasn’t an effective tactical plan at the start of the fight. He only needed to last one round; it would have become easier afterward. Initially, he should have tied up his opponent and focused on takedowns, rather than engaging in striking, where Pereira has always excelled. I hope he recovers and continues to win. I also wish his team would forget about playing it safe and invite me for training. Especially for preparation before stepping into the octagon—so far, my record is 4-0, but it could easily be 400-0. Dana White proved to be wiser or just fortunate—he got lucky with this rematch,” Taktarov was quoted by MMA Metaraitings.
