Whistleblowers – individuals who reveal wrongdoing inside their organizations – play a a very powerful position in conserving governments and firms responsible. However talking up can come at a price. Individuals who document misconduct steadily face retaliation, process loss or criminal threats, making whistleblowing dangerous and difficult. And when criminal protections for whistleblowers are weakened, the hazards simplest develop.
