Southwest Las Vegas – A quiet argument between elderly roommates escalated into a fatal stabbing late Thursday afternoon, setting off a chain of events that ended in tragedy on the bustling Las Vegas Strip.[1][2] Police responded to the southwest valley home where one man lay dead from multiple stab wounds, only to learn moments later that the suspect had confessed to the killing and fled toward the iconic tourist corridor.

The incident began around 5:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of West Cupertino Heights Way, a residential area just north of Mountain’s Edge Regional Park.[1] A neighbor placed a 911 call after discovering the gruesome scene, prompting a swift response from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers.
Upon arrival, authorities found a man in his 70s suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
