Las Vegas – Downtown’s bustling Fremont Street Experience appointed hospitality executive Cliff Atkinson as its new president and CEO, with the veteran set to start on February 17.[1]
A Track Record of Transformations
Cliff Atkinson arrived in Las Vegas with a reputation for turning around high-profile properties. He most recently served as president of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, where he directed a post-renovation overhaul and unified operations across gaming and hospitality.[1]
Prior to that role, Atkinson guided the pre-opening efforts at Fontainebleau Las Vegas as president, assembling the leadership team for the multibillion-dollar resort. His tenure at MGM Resorts International included stints as senior vice president of corporate hotel strategy and president and chief operating officer of the Luxor Hotel and Casino.
Earlier in his career, he spent a decade with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group across San Francisco, New York, and Las Vegas locations. That period brought accolades such as Forbes Five-Star ratings, AAA Five-Diamond awards, and “Hotelier of the Year” honors.[1]
