Northwest Las Vegas homeowners expressed growing frustration over an unlicensed educational facility operating from a residential property near Hualapai Way and Dorrell Lane.

Residents first learned of the operation about a year and a half ago through social media posts. The facility, known as Montessori Skye View, presented itself as a hybrid homeschool program within a gated home. Neighbors quickly raised questions about its legitimacy after noticing increased activity.
One resident described how the business had expanded steadily since then. Vehicles arrived daily, dropping off children and contributing to congestion on quiet streets. Authorities later confirmed the site lacked proper licensing for a school or daycare.
Heightened Traffic and Safety Worries
Complaints centered on the potential for further growth. Homeowners reported that the owner envisioned expanding to serve 40 or 50 students. Such an increase would funnel substantial traffic through the residential area, they argued.
“She plans to grow this to a 40, 50 student daycare in a residential neighborhood, so she’ll be driving significant traffic down residential streets,” one neighbor stated. Efforts to discuss the matter directly with the owner proved fruitless after an initial community meeting where concerns were reportedly dismissed.
