Russian skier **[Saveliy Korostelyov](https://example.com)** reacted to the surprising victory of Russian biathlete **Andrey Vyukhin**, who won the qualification round for the sprint freestyle event in Kirovochepetsk during the fifth stage of the 2025/2026 Russian Cup in cross-country skiing.

Notably, two-time Olympic bronze medalist from Beijing, Russian skier Alexander Terentyev, did not advance to the next round, finishing in 31st place in the prologue, which prevented him from qualifying for the quarter-finals.
