LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Households and seniors throughout Southern Nevada are feeling the affect throughout the federal government shutdown, particularly those that depend on SNAP advantages.

“We do serve a free meal here every day at 10 a.m. that meal has gone up about 100 people, and we’re preparing for another 100 more,” Catholic Charities Director of Media Leslie Carmine mentioned.
SNAP, the Supplemental Vitamin Help Program, helps greater than 400,000 Nevadans put meals on the desk.
