Henderson – Local leaders gathered on May 4 for a ceremonial groundbreaking that signals a major upgrade to emergency medical services in Southern Nevada. Community Ambulance, a key provider in the region, initiated construction on a new headquarters designed to handle surging demand. The project addresses the rapid population growth in Henderson and surrounding areas, where timely ambulance response remains critical for public safety.
A Response to Booming Demand
Community Ambulance launched in 2010 amid rising emergency room wait times and gaps in ambulance coverage across Southern Nevada. What began with just three ambulances has evolved into a fleet exceeding 90 vehicles, supported by more than 700 employees. The company holds the highest accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services since 2012 and now serves Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, and unincorporated Clark County.[1][2]
Henderson’s West side, in particular, has seen significant expansion, prompting the need for enhanced infrastructure. Officials highlighted the company’s reliable performance during the event.
