Las Vegas – Gas prices have surged to an average of $5 per gallon across Nevada, with some stations charging as much as $5.30, driven by the ongoing war with Iran.[1][2] Local drivers reported fill-ups costing over $100, a sharp increase from recent weeks, prompting major companies to roll out targeted discounts. Amazon, Uber, and AAA now provide relief options as families and rideshare workers adjust to the financial strain at the pump.

Salomon De Santiago filled his Toyota 4Runner at a Chevron station near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, where prices hit $5.30 on Easter Sunday. He noted the cost jumped by about $2 per gallon in just one week, pushing his total from $60-$70 to more than $100.[1] Many turned to membership programs like Costco and Sam’s Club for cheaper fuel.
Daniel Niebla, who operates a limo service, saw his daily fuel expenses rise from $41-$42 to $71-$72, adding $30 extra per day. Rideshare drivers and businesses reported sidelining vehicles or cutting trips to cope. Statewide, Nevada’s average reached $5 per gallon, far above the national figure exceeding $4 for the first time in years.[1]
