Shannon Elizabeth broke out in the comedy world with her role as Buffy Gilmore in the 2000 original Scary Movie.[1]
Her character met a gruesome end when beheaded late in the film, though the series often revived deceased roles for later sequels.[2]
Recently, Elizabeth shared her feelings about the new installment during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She stated she had hoped to reprise the part but never heard from the production team.[3]
“Oh, yeah! Absolutely. I mean, I was really hoping to be a part of it but I didn’t get the call,” she explained.[3]

Marlon Wayans, who returns as Shorty Meeks and co-wrote the script with brother Shawn, quickly addressed Elizabeth’s comments in an interview with The Shade Room.[1]
