On February 23, 1575, town of Baeza (Jaen) witnessed the newsletter of a guide destined to revolutionize Renaissance idea: Ekamen de ingenios para las Ciencias. Its writer, Juan Huarte de San Juan, proposed a daring thesis for his time: folks have other herbal talents and must due to this fact be guided towards the research or professions perfect tailored to their explicit genius.
Born in 1529 in San Juan del Pie del Puerto (Navarra), Huarte is regarded as Andalusian via adoption.
