Bishop Gorman last faced St. John Bosco a decade ago, securing a 35-20 victory in California on September 9, 2016.[1][2] That win propelled the Gaels toward their third consecutive mythical national championship. The teams also clashed in 2014, when Gorman edged out the then-top-ranked Braves 34-31 at home.[3]

Both programs boast storied histories of excellence. Bishop Gorman claimed its 15th Nevada state title in the last 16 years during the 2025 season. St. John Bosco, meanwhile, captured national championships in 2019 and 2022 according to High School Football America.[4]

National Powers in Recent Form

The Gaels posted an 11-1 record in 2025, earning the No. 2 spot in USA Today’s final Super 25 rankings.[1] Their lone loss came in a tight 27-24 defeat to Mater Dei of California. Gorman dominated much of the schedule, including wins over teams from Utah, Illinois, and Hawaii.
