The world champion in the light heavyweight division (up to 79.2 kg) under the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, Russian boxer **Dmitry Bivol**, has shared his thoughts on a potential fight with the former undisputed heavyweight champion, unbeaten Ukrainian **Oleksandr Usyk**.

“Regarding a fight with Usyk? I doubt it, as we compete in different weight categories,” Bivol was quoted by the publication “Soviet Sport.”

For context, in his most recent match on February 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Bivol faced his fellow countryman Artur Beterbiev. This bout was a rematch for both fighters. The contest went the full 12 rounds, and Bivol emerged victorious with a majority decision from the judges, thereby becoming the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division.

On the other hand, Usyk had his latest fight on December 22, also in Riyadh. His opponent was Tyson Fury from the UK, and this fight was also a rematch. Usyk won the bout by unanimous decision from the judges.
