AppleCare+‍ Pricing ⁢Increases for iPhone: What You Need ⁢to Know
New Pricing Structure for AppleCare+

Apple‌ has announced a⁤ rise in the ⁤costs ‌associated⁢ with AppleCare+⁣ for ⁤iPhones. This change reflects the company’s‌ shift ⁢towards a subscription-based model, although it⁢ currently affects only U.S. customers.

Monthly Subscription Costs Are Rising

AppleCare+ offers an extended warranty ‍of up ‍to two years, along with enhanced features such as unlimited protection against accidental damage. Each‌ incident will incur a service ⁢fee: ‍$29 for screen or back glass repairs and $99 for other types of damage.

Previously priced at $9.99 per month, the⁣ plan is now increasing by 50 cents to $10.49 monthly. ‌Similarly, the comprehensive AppleCare+ plan‌ that ⁤includes theft and loss coverage will see a similar price boost.

As highlighted by sources like MacRumors, this price adjustment applies solely to the iPhone’s AppleCare+, ‌while costs remain stable for protection plans related to Macs and Apple ⁣Watches.

Options for Two-Year Coverage

For those preferring an ⁣upfront payment option, Apple’s⁤ online ⁢store continues to offer two-year packages of‍ AppleCare+. The annual fee‌ for an iPhone 16⁤ with theft and‌ loss coverage starts at‍ $120; however, if you choose to pay upfront ⁤for two‍ years, your total comes out to just $219.

It’s important to note that⁢ given Apple’s current emphasis on monthly subscriptions, there may be a possibility of discontinuing these upfront plans in ⁤the future.

Additionally,⁢ customers are allowed up to 60 days following their iPhone purchase date within which they can enroll ‌in ‍AppleCare+.

Stay informed about ⁣these developments if you’re considering enrolling in or upgrading your existing ⁢coverage!
