‘Golden Age of America Begins,’ Trump Says at InaugurationAfter being sworn in as the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump laid out parts of his policy agenda, including taking back the Panama Canal and renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
“So help me God.” “So help me God.” “Congratulations, Mr. President.” “The golden age of America begins right now. First, I will declare a national emergency at our Southern border. From now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. China is operating the Panama Canal. And we didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we’re taking it back. It will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.” [chanting: “U.S.A. U.S.A.”] “I was going to talk about the J6 hostages. But you’ll be happy because, you know, it’s action, not words that count. And you’re going to see a lot of action. Thank you all very much. Appreciate it.”
