Kazakhstan Unveils ⁤Interactive Natural Resource Map

ASTANA – The deputy head of the Ministry of Ecology ⁢and Natural Resources, Nurlan‌ Kurmalayev, announced on December ‍10 during a briefing at the Central ⁣Communications ‍Service (CCS) that an⁢ interactive map detailing the nation’s natural resources is now accessible on the ⁣Tabigat.gov.kz website.

Comprehensive Geographical Platform

“This digital tool serves‍ as‌ a⁣ geographical information system⁢ that sheds light on our⁤ country’s environmental status alongside⁢ its natural ‍resource distribution,” Kurmalayev explained. Users can explore various categories, including historical ‌pollution records, waste management and recycling sites,⁤ surface water bodies, protected natural areas, recreational zones, wildlife habitats and migration pathways, as well as hunting territories.

Promoting Ecotourism Through Accessibility

According to Kurmalayev’s‌ remarks, this mapping initiative aims to provide equitable access to extensive data regarding environmental‍ conservation and resource management. To bolster public engagement in ‌ecotourism activities, all features included in this ‌geographic platform⁤ can also be found on popular mapping ‍services online. This integration enables citizens to gather relevant⁢ information and organize their excursions more efficiently.

Advanced Monitoring Capabilities

A significant aspect ‍of⁣ the interactive map is its utilization of satellite‍ monitoring technology to identify illegal dumping sites, unauthorized logging‍ activities, and thermal anomalies‍ within state-managed forest lands. The ⁤analysis currently focuses on 46⁢ key areas that are prone to such ⁢issues; these encompass major urban centers ‍and densely populated regions across Kazakhstan.

This innovative approach not only facilitates ‍environmental stewardship but also significantly enhances public awareness concerning ecological matters throughout the region.
