The English women’s top-flight will be decided in London for the first time since 2018 after it was confirmed StoneX Stadium will host the Premiership Women’s Rugby final on March 16th, 2025.

Saracens, who won the inaugural Premier 15s final in Ealing six years ago, will hope to return to the showpiece match on their home ground having not made it past the semi-finals since last lifting the trophy in 2022.

Following the inaugural final at Trailfinders Sports Ground the decider has been staged at Franklin’s Gardens, Kingsholm (twice) and Sandy Park.

Almost 7,000 watched Gloucester-Hartpury retain their title against Bristol Bears in Exeter in June, while the Circus’ first championship was won in front of a record crowd of 9,668 at Kingsholm.

The current PWR season kicked off on October 5th, and has been condensed to maximise England’s preparation time ahead of their home Women’s Rugby World Cup in August and September next year.

Saracens CEO Mark Thompson said: “We are delighted to be hosting the PWR final this season at StoneX Stadium. The final represents a showcase for the game of women’s rugby, and we are delighted to play our part.

“We have a big and evolving vision for women’s rugby here at Saracens; championing our athletes on and off the field, innovation in broadcast and media, playing a central role in a growing ecosystem around the game and much more.

“The final gives us a chance to accelerate that, and we can’t wait for the lead-up to March and then the final.”

Chair of Premier Women’s Rugby Ltd board Genevieve Shore added: “The 2024 final at Sandy Park was an unforgettable occasion for women’s sport, so we are delighted to be taking our next showpiece event to the StoneX Stadium.

“After a competitive process, Saracens emerged with the most impressive bid. We know that the team at Saracens will deliver another spectacular event on March 16th that will continue to drive the visibility of women’s rugby and provide a brilliant day to celebrate all our athletes and fans.”

One match from every round of the 2024/25 PWR season will be streamed live and for free via RugbyPass TV, where there isn’t a local broadcast deal in place.
