The University of Southern Indiana’s Archaeology Lab has found a new location within the World Languages and Cultures Department. Previously housed in the Public Safety building, the lab lacked adequate space and visibility. However, it has now been relocated to the former computer lab in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center.
The move represents a significant milestone for the university, as it provides more room for students to work on projects and collections. According to Michael Strezewski, Professor of Anthropology at the university, the previous location did not offer enough space for people to work effectively. “I have students working on projects, collections, and I had to move boxes out of the way so that they could get some space to actually do some work and myself for my own work,” said Professor Strezewski.
To celebrate this new development, an open-house-event/” title=”Join Us at the Exciting Nilpeter USA and Screen Americas Open House Event!”>open house was organized by the university. The event was free and open to both the public and campus community alike. The hope is that this new location will increase visibility among those frequenting the Liberal Arts College.
