The center of the “Pari Nizhny Novgorod” club, **Kirill Popov**, shared insights about how life in rural Russia has shaped him, acknowledging that his upbringing in the village influenced his work ethic, character, and approach to responsibilities.

**– What has life in the countryside taught you?**
– Above all, it has taught me to value human labor. I pay close attention to people who can create things with their own hands. Living in the village instilled in me the importance of keeping promises. At the beginning of my career, I felt embarrassed about being from a rural area. People would point and say, “You’re just a country boy, where did you even come from?” Nowadays, things have changed a bit. However, I occasionally sense the skepticism when someone thinks, “Who does he think he is, coming from the Superleague?” I take it in stride. Yes, I’m from the countryside – it’s precisely that background that prepared me for life. The Superleague has nurtured me and provided the opportunity to return to the VTB United League, – Popov said to “Sovetsky Sport.”

In the current season of the United League, Popov has participated in 10 games so far, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.
