David Feliaui will make his debut for the Brumbies after being named by Stephen Larkham at inside centre for his side’s tough assignment against the Blues at Eden Park on Friday night (5.35pm AEDT). Join The Roar for live scores and updates.
The former Rebels midfielder, who was included in Joe Schmidt’s first Wallabies squad, was one of the Brumbies’ major recruits but missed the opening few rounds of the competition due to a hand injury.
Feliaui is one of several changes to the side that lost 49-34 to the Chiefs last week, with Larkham freshening up his forward pack.
There are two tweaks to the tight five, with Lachie Lonergan starting ahead of Billy Pollard at hooker while rising second-rower Lachie Shaw starts ahead of Cadeyrn Neville.
Rory Scott has been shifted to openside flanker, with breakdown specialist Luke Reimer to come off the bench as well.
Declan Meredith once again will wear the No.10 jersey in the absence of Noah Lolesio, who is expected to return next week against the Drua.
Beauden Barrett will be back in the Blues No. 10 jersey this weekend, with Cole Forbes starting at fullback and Harry Plummer benched, as Vern Cotter made seven changes.
Joshua Fusitu’a and Angus Ta’avao are promoted to start to join hooker Ricky Riccitelli in the front row, while a three-week suspension to Hoskins Sotutu sees Cameron Suafoa shift into No.8 and Cam Christie start at blindside flanker. Anton Segner will start at No.7 with Dalton Papali’i ruled out due to a head injury.
