Fans were shocked to see England rugby players eating sushi and chicken tenders after their narrow win against Scotland.
England kept their Six Nations title hopes alive as they edged to a 16-15 win at Twickenham, although Scotland’s Finn Russell missed a 79th minute conversion and thus a chance to snatch a win away from Steve Borthwick’s men.

Scotland led at half time thanks to tries from Ben White and Huw Jones but England turned the tide through two Marcus Smith penalties and Fin Smith’s kick were the key moments that earned England to the four points.
But England were razor close to a loss as Russell pushed his conversion inches wide of the left upright after Duhan van der Merwe try.
Awaiting for the Red Roses in the changing room was a very inviting spread of food.
The England Rugby X page released a video explaining what the players eat post-match and why.

The narrator said: “It’s important for the players to consume food and fluid as soon as possible post-match.
“This helps kickstart the recovery process. By increasing carbohydrates we flood glycogen back into the body.
“Lots of protein helps repair sore muscles and of course lots of fluids to help with hydration.
“We do this via sushi, crispy chicken tenders, fruit kebabs, chocolate milk and bao buns.”
On X fans have expressed their shock and others joined in on the jokes.
One user said: “I’m absolutely starving now. I’d book a table at this restaurant.”

Another person in disbelief posted: “All I got after a game was tea with too much sugar in.”
England are next in action on Sunday March 9 when they entertain Italy at Twickenham before rounding off their campaign against Wales at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium the following Saturday.
They are currently third in the Six Nations table with two wins and a defeat, behind Ireland and France, who have won their opening three matches.
