A sprawling luxury Gold Coast estate owned by former Super Rugby star Mark Swanepoel has been re-listed for an eye-watering $7.495 million.
The resort-style country home, which boasts an artificial lake, five bedrooms and five bathrooms, initially hit the market in January 2024 with an asking price of $8 million.
Styled after grand ‘lake house’ dwellings in the US, the property also features a two-bedroom guest house and a studio apartment.
According to the Courier Mail, the home has been vacant for a year.
Located at Bonogin, 19km from the Gold Coast in the lush hinterland, the three-hectare estate features a private beach on a lake which was created at the cost of $1 million.
The lake has drinkable water, a BBQ area and fire pit, a waterfall and a jetty.

Designed for maximum comfort, the main home hosts oversized living spaces, grand views and luxury fixtures throughout.
Highlights include a pool and ‘party’ deck, an ‘entertainment’ lounge with a stone bar, a cinema with raised seating, a ‘games retreat’ and a private office.
There’s also a gorgeous country-style kitchen that features classic retro lighting fixtures, a walk-in pantry and a large marble-top breakfast bar.
Other features include a large timber verandah which overlooks the lake.
The new listing comes after Swanepoel made headlines last year when the Federal Court found his Cigno Australia lending company to breach Credit Act regulations.
The violations include acting without the required license and charging ‘prohibited fees’ on loans.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) investigated the Cigno company, of which Swanepoel was a director.

Later, the Federal Court heard that Cigno and its lending company BSF Solutions had lent out $ 34 million to 100,000 people and charged over $70 million in fees between July 2022 and December 2022.
In November the two companies appealed the Federal Court’s decision.
Judgement was reserved reported the Courier Mail.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Swanepoel, 34, rose to fame as a leading rugby player.
He made his Super Rugby debut in 2010 with the Force. He later played for the Brumbies.
