Daniel Davey (41) is a performance nutritionist who worked for Leinster Rugby and the Dublin footballers. He’s also author of ‘Eat Up, Raise Your Game’ and ‘Eat Up, The Next Level’, and founder of daveynutrition.com
School was not a good experience for me. I really struggled and had difficult experiences with teachers who just didn’t like me, and who maybe didn’t recognise that I wasn’t there yet in terms of maturity or ability.
I was picked on and I think I was a bit of a lost cause in some classes. When people give up on you, that’s something that never leaves you and you’re kind of scarred by it.
