The “Daily Listen” recap feature offers concise updates, each lasting approximately five minutes or shorter. This function can be easily accessed on the main interface of the Google app, presented as a square widget conveniently situated below quick-access shortcuts alongside various other cards.
How Daily Listen Operates
Differing from the Copilot Daily feature, Google’s Daily Listen provides users with captions that occupy a significant portion of the screen during playback. Below the audio controls, users can find related articles and delve into expanded topic categories through search options. Additionally, there is a system for providing feedback where listeners can express their preferences by liking or disliking content suggestions.
Currently classified as an experimental opt-in feature within Google’s Search Labs ecosystem, Daily Listen is exclusively available to iOS and Android users in the United States at this time. Although there are plans for broader availability in future updates, specific timelines for introducing this functionality to additional countries have yet to be announced.
