210 million rugby fans have been blown away by one teenager’s barnstorming carry.
Prop Viliotu Masila was 17-years-old at the time, and went completely viral. The footage of the young man has gone on to become one of the most-viewed rugby videos ever.
The Merrylands Rams JRLFC teen catches the ball deep inside his own half before going on one of the most unstoppable and destructive carries you are ever likely to see.

The video was originally posted on Parramatta Eels’ TikTok account, picking up eight million views themselves. The footage then found its way around the internet, spreading like wildfire as millions more views rolled in.
You can watch the clip below.
The clip picked up 20 million views when it was first posted in 2022, with another 15 million in 2023. However, despite these figures, it’s YouTube where the video has raked in the big numbers.
It has 147 million views as a YouTube ‘Short’ since being posted in June 2023, becoming the second-most watched rugby video ever on the platform. It comes behind ‘The Rugby Trainer’s’ passing challenge, which has 190 million.
There’s a further 20 million on X, formerly Twitter, on ‘internet hall of fame’ with the caption: “A wall couldn’t stop this man if it tried.”
Masila was awarded the ‘Parramatta Junior Rugby League Try of the Year’, unsurprisingly, and spoke about what he thought of the viral video.
“It’s kind of crazy seeing how many views it’s got on TikTok. “(Team-mates) have been cracking jokes. It’s crazy seeing stuff like that, especially with Parra making videos for juniors, so it’s pretty cool!”
