WARWICKSHIRE CCC will return to Rugby for three matches in 2025 following the release of next season’s County Championship and One-Day Cup fixtures.
The Bears begin their One-Day Cup campaign at Yorkshire on Tuesday, August 5 before playing three 50-over matches in the space of six days at Rugby School.

The Rugby Cricket Festival will feature games against Northamptonshire Steelbacks (August 10), Kent Spitfires (August 13) and Middlesex (August 15).

Warwickshire performance director, Gavin Larsen, said: “Rugby School were the perfect hosts last summer. The facilities and ground were top quality and thousands of fans attended the three games.

“There was a great atmosphere, a real community occasion, and they got to see some thrilling cricket.

“It made complete sense for us to return and I’m sure it’ll be another huge success.

“All eyes now turn to Edgbaston on 4 April when our season gets underway. It’s only four-and-a-half months away and before we know it the players will be walking out in front of our members to start our 2025 season.”

Warwickshire begin their red ball campaign at Edgbaston on Friday, April 4 against Sussex followed by a trip to Durham (April 11) before returning home to play Nottinghamshire (April 18).

Bears Women make their competitive debut on Wednesday, April 23 at Edgbaston with the first of 14 matches in the women’s One Day Cup.

Ali Maiden’s side travel to Essex on April 27 and return to Edgbaston three days later as they look to make a strong start to their first season wearing the Bear and Ragged Staff.

Bears Women head of performance, Laura MacLeod, added: “Our players will be creating history on April 23 when they play their first ever game as a fully professional Bears Women side.

“It’s a real honour, and only fitting, that their first competitive match will take place at their new home, Edgbaston, and that the players will be walking out of their new high performance area and dressing rooms onto the pitch.

“We’re already counting down the days.”

A total of eight rounds of the County Championship will take place in April and May.

The two rounds at the end of June and two rounds at the end of July will see the use of Kookaburra, before three rounds in September to finish the domestic summer.

Bears Women conclude their One Day Cup group at Somerset on September 13 and will hope to have secured a semi-final spot on September 17.

The women’s final takes place on September 21 at the Utilita Bowl, Southampton.

The quarter-finals and semi-finals of the men’s One Day Cup take place on August 28 and 31 respectively, followed by the final at Trent Bridge on Sunday, September 20.

Fixtures for the Vitality Blast and new Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup were released last week.
