‘It takes time’
Marcus Smith has called for patience and believes England putting themselves in winning positions will only help the team moving forward.
He told TNT Sports: “I enjoyed myself, we wanted to express ourselves, which is what we’ve tried to do all Autumn and hopefully we can take that into the Six Nations.
“It takes time but it’s good we’re in positions to win games. It takes time, look at South Africa in 2015-16, they took time to get to where they are.
“There’s been minor blips but we are going to work on more commitment and collective buy in.”
FT: England 59-14 Japan
It was slightly more strenuous than a training match, though Japan did have a couple of big moments.
The changes made a difference in the second half too.
England were always in a lose-lose position here but it’s a decent enough result to end a difficult autumn.
FT! England 59-14 Japan
Finally an England win!
They avoid going six games without a win with victory here, though that was always going to be the case.

Fin Smith again at the heart of it, stabbing a cute little kick through the Japan back line for three on-rushing England players.
