November 22 – The naming rights to the EFL Trophy, at present referred to as the Bristol Road Motors Trophy, have been rebranded to the Vertu Trophy with fast impact.
The change is a results of the automotive retailer consolidating its three manufacturers into one.
The English Soccer League trophy is performed between groups from League One, League Two and U21 groups from the Premier League and Championship
The league agreed a three-year deal because the title sponsor of the EFL trophy by to the tip of the 2025/26 season with the automotive group in November final 12 months.
The competitors rebranding will likely be in place forward of tomorrow’s spherical of 32 draw and the subsequent spherical of fixtures happening from December 10.
“Vertu have contributed considerably to the continued success of the competitors and have made an enduring impression in communities by supporting accessible soccer with tickets initiatives,” stated EFL industrial director Ben Wright.
“Trophy attendances contributed strongly to the EFL’s standing as the best attended league physique in Europe final season and with each Vertu trophy match stay on sky sports activities this season, the publicity of the competitors will proceed on an upward trajectory.”
