The first shocking and most unexpected result of the day in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers action comes from Bratislava, where Slovakia took down Spain 67-64 in extra-time.
Vladimir Brodziansky, who’s playing in the ACB League with UCAM Murcia, was dominant for the home side, dropping a winning double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds.
He was followed by Simon Krajcovic’s 16 points and Mario Ihring’s 13 points and 9 assists.

The debut with the Spanish national team for the NBA prospect Izan Almansa, currently in the NBL with the Perth Wildcats, was therefore ruined. The 2005-born forward had 10 points in the loss.
Santi Yusta led the way for Spain with 17 points and 8 rebounds, but he wasn’t enough for Sergio Scariolo’s team. Sergio De Larrea and Mario Saint-Supery also had their first touches with the national team, but both finished the encounter without scoring.
