JetBlue has landed at Bonaire’s Flamingo International Airport with the inaugural flight from New York’s JFK Airport.
The twice-weekly roundtrip service is the latest vacation route and now flies to all three of the ABC islands in the Dutch Caribbean.
These are Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, as well as to St. Maarten.
Bonaire flights operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and is the only nonstop service from JFK.
“We are excited to launch service to Bonaire, introducing a new destination and more travel options for a Caribbean getaway,” said David Jehn, VP of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue.
“This marks a significant step to making our beautiful island more accessible to North American travelers,” said Miles Mercera, CEO at Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
Located in the Leeward Antilles, Bonaire offers world class scuba diving, outdoor adventures and more.
The Bonaire flights mark JetBlue’s 34th destination in Latin America and the Caribbean from New York-JFK this winter, more than any other airline.
