October 25 – Premier League attendance figures took a dip on matchday eight, recording an average stadium capacity usage of 97.33%, the lowest of the season to date. 

This marks a noticeable 1.3% decline from the previous week.

Despite the lower overall average, Newcastle United upheld their impressive attendance streak, reaching 99.84% capacity. The magpies were joined by Manchester United in the exclusive 99%+ club.

Fulham, however, recorded the lowest capacity figure of any team this season, with only 90.38% attendance at Craven Cottage. Southampton also performed below the average, with more than 1,200 empty seats for their humbling 2-3 comeback loss to Leicester City, the club have developed a habit of squandering leads.

Manchester United led in terms of sheer numbers, as 73,738 fans gathered to see their dramatic win over Brentford. Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth, with the league’s smallest venue at 11,379 seats, attracted the lowest attendance as they secured a thrilling 2-0 victory over Arsenal, a top title contender.
