Stade Pierre-Mauroy will host its first-ever Champions League clash between Lille and Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
While reigning champions Real Madrid have already secured a victory against Stuttgart in their opening UCL game, Lille suffered a loss to Sporting Lisbon.

Real Madrid enters the tie with an unbeaten run in the Champions League, continuing on from last season, backed by solid performances in La Liga as well.
After securing a win against Stuttgart in their opening Champions League fixture, they played out a dramatic 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in La Liga, dropping points in a heated contest.
Real’s dominant form, however, remains strong, with four wins in their last five games in all competitions.

For Lille, Hakon Arnar Haraldsson is ruled out with a foot injury, and Angel Gomes will miss the game due to suspension after receiving a red card against Sporting Lisbon.
In addition, Ismaily, Samuel Umtiti, and Nabil Bentaleb are sidelined with injuries or illness.
